I haven't been quilting much lately (clearly, I haven't been working on my photography skills either, sorry) but I felt like some sewing yesterday. I dug into my very large basket of scraps (except for the fussy-cut typewriter) and made a couple pillows.
The one on the left is my old favorite, string quilting (using this method). For the typewriter pillow, I cut into a brand new piece of this adorable Ruby Star Shining fabric, then I finished the block with this very cool Sunrays Block Tutorial from Twin Fibers.
One of the pillows is to replace one from the family room couch that my naughty dog chewed on and the other is for my desk. Because if I put a pillow on my desk the cat will lay on that instead of the fabric I'm trying to cut, the papers I'm trying to read, or my keyboard. Ozzy hasn't decided if likes the new pillow or not, so he's sleeping on the ironing board. At least he's out of the way.
